Injury takes Petrucci of the MotoGP opening round


After further tests, doctors decided that Pramac Ducati can not compete at Losail in the season opener

Petrucci is out of the opening MotoGP championship in Qatar. The Italian had broken three fingers of his right hand after accident still in pre-season testing in Phillip Island, Australia.

The Pramac Ducati lost the final battery of tests at Losail, even made free practice this week, but tests have shown that it can not participate in the event on Sunday.


The team itself broke the news to Petrucci fans through social networks, claiming that there was a segment of displaced in the third metacarpal bone.

The team has not indicated who will replace the injured driver at the weekend, but is expected to Michele Pirro, who came on for Petrucci in Qatar a few weeks ago, is chosen.
