Australia GP team cancels MotoGP and Moto2 practice due to the weather

The direction of the Australian Grand Prix, the 16th race of speed motorcycling World, today decided to cancel the second practice session of the MotoGP and Moto2 due to heavy rain falling on Phillip Island.

In MotoGP few riders ventured out into the damp track, including the Italian Valentino Rossi (Yamaha), seven times world champion in the premier class before being displayed the red flag, which put an end to the session.

The Moto2 session, which should take place following the MotoGP and which would already be missing the Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira, recovering from a fractured collarbone, was canceled.

The rain had disrupted the first sessions of free realms, but the direction of proof hopes to fulfill the program on Saturday, the day is marked more free practice and qualifications for Sunday's races.
